Custom Design Process 1. Discussion & Planning: We will begin by talking about what you need through email, phone, or instant messenger. You tell me EVERYTHING you want me to know: colors, style, rough image size (pixels or inches), etc. Also, I will gladly play around with anything you are unsure about. For example, if you do not know what colors you want, I will offer some choices that I feel work best. *You deposit 50% of the negotiated price for your cartoon illustration before step 2
2. Sketches: I will draw up a great sketch for you, which can be revised to fit your needs. Sketches are cool because they allow much room for change since they are rough.
Once the final product is complete, I will send it to you in the format(s) of your choice (.jpg, .bmp, .gif, .png, .ai, .psd, etc.) There you have it! How to make a cartoon the right way. 3. Digital Touchup: I will take our final sketch and scan it into the computer. From there, I will digitally render the illustration line by line in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. After I trace the lines, I begin to add color.
